Our Story

For hundreds of years, the Stables have been home to the horses of Long Crendon Manor. In the 1920s, the horses belonged to the resident owners, Laline, daughter of Lady De L’Isle, and her husband Colonel Barry. The main Bakery is situated in the old groom’s quarters.

Until recently, the stables were a livery yard for show jumpers, event horses and hacks, all happily living side by side. Horses are still kept here today, but these original buildings have been lovingly converted to a village Bakery, Farm Shop and Café, providing the best local produce at minimum food miles.

We are committed to championing local producers in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, to supply the shop and the ingredients for our café.
The local florist provides fresh cut flowers, plants and gifts.
